Apples & Elderflower began as a cookbook - a collection of recipes and stories shaped by the seasons, the garden and the abundant produce of Tasmania’s far south. It’s the same spirit that runs through everything I make and write, from preserves and cordials to the Apples & Elderflower journal.
Hello, I’m Julia
I’m a cook, writer and gardener living in Tasmania’s Huon Valley. Apples & Elderflower grew from the way I cook and live here - following the seasons, growing and gathering what I can, and making the most of the wonderful produce grown around me.
You can find the things I make at my market stall and at The Little Black Shed outside our home. My favourite recipes are in my cookbook, and I write about life in Tasmania’s far south in my regular newsletter.
